| Observations Table |
Like stated above, when we were actually collecting our observations, we were able to predict if the outcomes actually happened. Due to experiences that we've had with the materials we were able to predict which would conduct electricity as well as which of them would be magnetic. I did however think that our paperclips were going to float due to their light weight but they actually sunk in our water.
How
can you apply what you've learned to your teaching in the future?
I liked the different activities that we did in class as I thought they were fun ways to get students thinking about mass and volume as well as the materials of the actual objects. There was a lot of discussion in the classroom and I think that young students would enjoy the change activity style.

Hi Maddy, I also predicted the outcomes fairly accurately. I agree that this activity would be great in a classroom, it would be very engaging! Great work!
ReplyDeleteHi Maddy! I also think this would be a great way to get students thinking about different terms, as well as differentiate between them! I know that mass, volume, and density are similar concepts and can be difficult for students to grasp! :)
